An interesting feature in the rooms are the terrarium displays and drinking glasses made from recycled glass, while the compost was made from recycled garden and landscaping waste.

Made with love by Soda Lemon Singapore artisans, these high-quality glassware prompt us to reconsider broken or unwanted glass as a useful material and resource, not a waste product.

Guests can enjoy unique recycled coasters during their stay. Beautiful pieces that are works of art in themselves, these one-of-a-kind coasters have been created by The Plastic Project Singapore to give new life to unwanted plastics. Gardens by the Bay is a unique nature park in Singapore and the largest landscape architecture project in the world. The total area of the park is over 100 hectares.

In 2005, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong came up with the idea of creating a large park near the bay. This park has been designed as a place of relaxation, as well as a showcase of Singapore. In January 2006, an international competition was announced for the best design of gardens by the bay, in which 170 companies from 25 countries took part. In September of the same year, the jury announced the winners: Grant Associates for Bay South Garden and Gustafson Porter for Bay East Garden. The decision to create a central garden was made later.

The construction of the gardens began in 2007, and the ceremonial opening of Gardens by the Bay took place four years later – in October 2011. The Bay East Garden was used for drag races at the August 2010 Youth Olympic Games and opened ahead of the rest of the gardens.

$1,035 million has been earmarked for this architectural landscape project, with annual operating costs of over $50 million.

Today, the park “Gardens by the Bay” is very popular, it is visited by 6-9 million people every year. The park has received various awards, including “World Building of the Year” in 2012.

Gardens by the Bay consists of three waterfront gardens adjacent to the Marina Reservoir: Bay South Garden, East Bay Garden and Bay Central Garden.

At 32 hectares, Bay East Garden is the second largest bay and has great potential for future development. Currently, the territory of the eastern garden is occupied by several beautiful tropical gardens.

At 15 hectares, the Bay Central Garden is the smallest garden in the bay. The central garden with its 3 km long seafront is ideal for scenic walks.

Bay South Garden demonstrates the best innovations in landscape design and is the national pride of the country. The overall concept of this design draws inspiration from the ‘Miss Joaquim’ Vanda orchid, Singapore’s national flower. The 54-acre Bay South Garden features greenhouses, a Supertree Grove, a Children’s Garden, and art sculptures.

Along the bay there are two innovative greenhouses, considered the largest in the world. Huge glass roofs without additional internal supports are the main characteristic of these greenhouses.
